Science communication workshop in Germany

Last 7th of April, a Science Communication workshop was held in Cologne, organized by the Society of Spanish Scientists in the Federal Republic of Germany (CERFA) with the support of FECYT. The workshop focused on techniques for the oral communication of science and was taught by members of Big Van Science, a group of experts in popular science communication, who contribute to radio shows, television, books and social networks events. Big Van Science has more than 300 hours of courses in science communication and promotes scientific culture and STEM vocations.

The workshop was aimed to predoctoral and postdoctoral researchers, as well as all to everyone who wished to improve their oral communication skills. The activities were focused on training skills for situations such elevator pitch, interviews with media, meetings to obtain funding, coffee talks, poster presentations or conference presentations.
