FECYT attends the German Research Summit 2018

Friday, April 27, 2018

On April 17th, the German Research Summit 2018 took place in Berlin, bringing together more than 200 experts from the fields of science, innovation, economics and politics. As in previous editions, the objective of the meeting was to analyze and discuss perspectives and future strategies for the German Research and Innovation system, as well as topics for the next Framework Program of the European Commission. For this purpose, an international forum was created for a critical and constructive dialogue, an interdisciplinary space for reflection and brainstorming, as well as for the creation of networks.

Among the attendees were the President of the European Research Council (ERC), the Presidents of the most relevant German Research Institutions (DFG, Max Planck) and the German Minister of Education and Research.

The event presented the format of internal and external circles, thus ensuring the full participation of the decision makers, visionary leaders and the experts in R&D like the Scientific Coordinator of FECYT in Germany.

In order to make the forum more participative and transparent, everyone could also follow the speeches and live discussions, as well as publish answers and questions through social networks.
